Thank the General Assembly for Protecting Georgia Land
Less than 10% of Georgia land is publicly owned, making programs like the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Act (GOSA) more important than ever. Since 2019, GOSA has invested more than $142 million in 74 projects, protecting tens of thousands of acres across the state.
Now, thanks to the Georgia General Assembly, GOSA will expand—boosting its funding by 50% and extending the program for another 10 years. That’s more than $500 million to protect land, expand outdoor recreation, and strengthen parks across Georgia.
Take a moment to thank your lawmakers for this investment and encourage them to keep protecting Georgia’s special places.
