Take Action

Thank the General Assembly for Protecting Georgia Land

Less than 10% of Georgia land is publicly owned, making programs like the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Act (GOSA) more important than ever. Since 2019, GOSA has invested more than $142 million in 74 projects, protecting tens of thousands of acres across the state.

Now, thanks to the Georgia General Assembly, GOSA will expand—boosting its funding by 50% and extending the program for another 10 years. That’s more than $500 million to protect land, expand outdoor recreation, and strengthen parks across Georgia.

Take a moment to thank your lawmakers for this investment and encourage them to keep protecting Georgia’s special places.

To

Thank you for strengthening the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Act (GOSA), the most successful and impactful conservation funding program in the history of our state.

Georgia's economy and quality of life are directly tied to both the water quality of our rivers, lakes, and streams and the availability and beauty of our outdoor spaces, wildlife habitats, and parks.

Every year, GOSA invests millions of dollars into Georgia's rural, urban, and suburban communities, funds recreational amenities for all Georgians to enjoy, safeguards our lands and waterways, and helps attract thousands of tourists to our state.

Sincerely,
