Take Action

Thank Mayor Mamdani for Supporting the QueensWay

The QueensWay—a proposed 3.5-mile greenway and park—would transform an abandoned rail line into 47 acres of new green space spanning six neighborhoods in Queens. This project would serve 245,000 residents, connect 28 schools, and bring safer walking and biking routes to neighborhoods that need them most.

City hall has signaled strong support for expanding green space in Queens. Let’s build on that momentum.

Send a message to thank the mayor for prioritizing parks and green space, and show strong public support for moving the QueensWay forward.

RE: Thank you for investing in parks and open space for Queens

To

I'm writing as a New Yorker to thank you for your commitment to expanding parks and green space across all five boroughs.

Your administration's recognition of projects like the QueensWay as an opportunity to bring more green space to communities that need it most is deeply encouraging.

In Queens, too many neighborhoods still lack access to the parks and safe outdoor space families need, making investments in places like the QueensWay especially important. This project represents an important step toward a healthier, more connected, more resilient city.

Thank you for your leadership and for prioritizing equitable access to nature. I hope you will continue to advance funding and support for the QueensWay so this long-envisioned project can become a reality.

Sincerely,
