Take Action

Don’t Let Our National Parks
Fall Apart

Aging trails, unsafe bridges, deteriorating roads, dilapidated buildings, and worn-down campgrounds all point to the same problem: a growing maintenance crisis.

Today, the National Park Service faces a maintenance backlog of more than $22 billion. And without action, it will only get worse.

That’s why Congress created the Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF), a dedicated program to fix what’s broken in our national parks. But LRF expired last year—and Congress has yet to reauthorize it.

Urge Congress to reauthorize LRF and repair our national parks!

RE: Reauthorize the Legacy Restoration Fund

To

I'm writing as a constituent who values our national parks and the role they play in our communities, economy, and shared history.

Across the country, national parks are struggling with a massive maintenance backlog impacting trails, roads, campgrounds, visitor facilities, and historic structures. These challenges affect visitor safety, accessibility, and the long-term health of the parks themselves.

The Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF) was created to address these needs by providing dedicated funding for park repairs. Since its establishment in 2020, LRF has made meaningful progress toward fixing aging infrastructure and protecting the visitor experience.

LRF expired last year and swift action is needed. I urge you to support full reauthorization for LRF, without diverting funds from other conservation programs.

Thank you for your time and for representing the needs of our community.

Sincerely,
