Take Action

Tell Congress: Stop the Attack on LWCF

Congress rejected the administration’s proposal to gut the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). That should have settled the issue. But the Department of the Interior just defied Congress and issued a secretarial order that diverts this critical funding away from conservation.

This attack will destroy LWCF, the cornerstone of land and water conservation for 60 years.

Tell Congress to stop this attack and demand that the administration reverse course.

RE: Reverse the administration's attack on LWCF

To

I'm shocked and deeply disappointed by the Interior Department's secretarial order that undermines the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).

Congress already rejected this plan during the budget process. Now the administration is circumventing Congress by diverting LWCF, without debate or public input.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund is one of our most successful conservation programs. For 60 years, it has protected public lands, built parks and trails, and expanded access to nature across the nation and right here in our state. The program does all this without spending any taxpayer dollars. This secretarial order ignores Congress and the values of millions of Americans who care about our shared lands and waters.

Please speak out. I urge you to oppose this decision, defend LWCF, and pressure the administration to reverse course.

Thank you for standing up for conservation and future generations.

Sincerely,
