Take Action

Stand Up for Our National Monuments

With a stroke of his pen, President Trump signed away XX acres from XX National Monuments.

National monument designations were created to permanently protect America’s most important, historic, and majestic places. This action undermines that very promise, paving the way for destructive development, resource extraction, and irreversible harm to these irreplaceable lands.

Our public lands are not commodities to be sold off to the highest bidder. Let’s show Congress that Americans stand united in defense of these irreplaceable spaces.

By taking action, you will receive important updates about our work and how you can help Trust for Public Land protect public land and parks for people.

RE: Defend Our Public Land

To

I am deeply concerned by President Trump's executive proclamation to strip protections from National Monuments. This move jeopardizes vital ecosystems, cultural heritage sites, and beloved outdoor spaces that define us as a nation.

National monument designations exist to protect America's most extraordinary places permanently. Weakening these protections opens the door to destructive development, resource extraction, and irreversible harm. It also sets a dangerous precedent, undermining the promise of safeguarding lands such as the Grand Canyon and Zion for future generations.

Americans overwhelmingly support protecting our public lands, and I urge you to listen to the millions of people who cherish and rely on these spaces. Please stand up for our national monuments and reject any efforts to weaken their protections. I hope you'll fight to uphold the Antiquities Act, which safeguards our shared heritage. Undermining it would be a step backward for all of us.

Sincerely,
