Take Action

Connect America's Trails and Expand Access to Nature

We envision a future where every community has equitable access to nature. Across the country, local trails connect people to nature, recreation, schools, workplaces, and their broader neighborhood.

That’s why, with your advocacy, we are working tirelessly to plan, design, and create trails across the country. While much of this vital work is happening in communities across the country, some of it is also taking place in Washington, D.C.

You can help connect people to nature and to each other: transform the future of our trails by sending a letter to your members of Congress today!

By taking action, you will receive important updates about our work and how you can help Trust for Public Land protect public land and parks for people.

RE: Support America's trails

To

As an avid supporter of public lands and your constituent, I urge you to connect America's trails and expand access to nature.

Our parks, public lands, and trails are the heart and soul of many American communities. Our forests, mountains, deserts, and plains support millions of jobs and help keep our air and water clean and healthy. They're where we go to spend time in nature to enrich our lives. They make us feel rejuvenated, healthier and happier.

Every community should have equitable access to urban, suburban, and rural trails that connect people to these experiences as well as nature, schools, recreation, workplaces, and their broader neighborhood. Therefore, I urge you to secure the future of America's trails by supporting efforts to create and expand trails that communities need today.

Sincerely,
