Adding 109,000 acres to the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument via the Antiquities Act will increase equitable outdoor access for over 15 million people who live within a 90-mile radius of the expansion. Many low-income communities in the area have little access to green space in their neighborhoods, which is why it’s all the more important that we work to protect these lands permanently.
