Take Action

Stop attacks on the Land and Water Conservation Fund!

Some members of Congress proposed rolling back federal funding for land conservation, including America’s most successful conservation program.

Without funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), many of our country’s most revered national parks and wild lands simply wouldn’t exist.

Rolling back federal land conservation funding will have catastrophic consequences—halting critical projects in their tracks. Tell Congress: don’t allow cuts to LWCF!

By taking action, you will receive important updates about our work and how you can help Trust for Public Land protect public land and parks for people.

RE: Don't cut LWCF

To [Member of Congress],

I am extremely disappointed in recent attacks on our public lands, including the proposed budget cuts to the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). For over 55 years, LWCF has protected over 45,000 state and local park projects in all 50 states. These proposed cuts would significantly compromise critical local, state, and federal efforts aimed at supporting parks, trails, and other outdoor recreation needs. Therefore, I urge you to ensure this proposal never sees the light of day so the program can continue to dedicate funding to critical projects across the country.

Sincerely,
