Take Action

Take action to protect America's wildlife

Congress was considering a bill last year, the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act (S.2372/H.R.2773), which would have been the most significant investment in wildlife conservation in a generation.

The bill would not only provide dedicated funding for more than 12,000 species at risk of becoming threatened or endangered, but it would also create jobs, grow the outdoor economy, and increase access to nature.

Urge Congress to continue the effort so we can protect our nation's wildlife now and for years to come.

By taking action, you will receive important updates about our work and how you can help Trust for Public Land protect public land and parks for people.

RE: Support America's Wildlife

Dear [Decision Maker],

As an avid supporter of the outdoors and your constituent, I urge you to support America's wildlife. With one-third of the wildlife species in America at risk, we must take measures now to protect them.

Please reconsider the Recovering America's Wildlife Act, which would direct $1.3 billion of existing revenue annually to state-led conservation efforts, and $97.5 million to tribal-led wildlife conservation plans. This would be the most significant investment in wildlife conservation in a generation. The Recovering America's Wildlife Act would not only provide the resources needed to help more than 12,000 at-risk species from reaching the threatened or endangered designations, but it would also create jobs and increase access to the outdoors.

Please act to protect our country's wildlife by reconsidering the Recovering America's Wildlife Act today.

Sincerely,
