Take Action

Protect the Bonneville Shoreline Trail From Development

Since 1991, outdoor enthusiasts have dreamed about completing the Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST).

Urge Utah’s congressional delegation to support the Bonneville Shoreline Trail Advancement Act today!

The act will protect key segments of the BST for all ages and abilities—giving nature lovers, mountain bikers, runners, hikers, equestrians, and cross-country skiers new opportunities to get outside and enjoy the outdoors, all while protecting the land in perpetuity.

When completed, the trail will extend nearly 300 miles, from the Idaho border to Nephi, Utah.

By taking action, you will receive important updates about our work and how you can help Trust for Public Land protect public land and parks for people.

RE: Protect the Bonneville Shoreline Trail

Dear Utah Congressional Delegation,

As an avid supporter of the outdoors, I urge you to support the Bonneville Shoreline Trail Advancement Act (S. 1222/H.R. 2551) to enhance the trail and access to nature.

The Bonneville Shoreline Trail Advancement Act will resolve user conflicts along the trail while extending wilderness protections to the recently acquired lands surrounding Camp Tracy. Every community should have equitable access to urban, suburban, and rural trails that connect people to nature, schools, recreation, workplaces, and their broader neighborhood. Therefore, I urge you to support this act today to secure the future of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.

Sincerely,
