Thank Secretary Tom Vilsack and President Biden for the Camp Hale-Continental Divide National Monument Designation
President Biden used the Antiquities Act to designate Colorado’s Camp Hale and a portion of the Continental Divide Trail as a national monument.
Critical to this effort was USDA Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, who worked with the White House and President Biden to make designating Camp Hale-Continental Divide National Monument possible.
Please join us in sending a thank you letter to Secretary Vilsack and President Biden for this landmark designation.
Camp Hale-Continental Divide National Monument will protect the historic lands of Camp Hale, where Colorado’s 10th Mountain Division ski troops trained in the vast alpine terrain of the Tenmile Range.
It will also protect critical habitat for wildlife such as migratory songbirds, otters, bears, and lynx. The scenic habitat and recreational areas make traversing the Tenmile Range a worthwhile excursion for locals and visitors alike.
