Urge your Senators to cosponsor the International Climate Accountability Act

Building on the House’s passage of H.R. 9, the Senate’s International Climate Accountability Act would bypass President Trump’s decision to leave the Paris Climate Agreement.

Ever since Paris targets were set in 2015, we’ve witnessed global change in real time. Hurricanes like Florence and Michael were on the severe end of what was predicted just a few years ago. We need to fight climate change in full-force — starting with passage of this bill.

Urge your Senators to cosponsor the International Climate Accountability Act today so we can protect land and people for generations to come.

RE: Advance the International Climate Accountability Act

I was horrified when President Trump announced he would withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, and am writing to you again to urge you to reverse this decision.

Cities and towns, where 80 percent of Americans now live, are particularly vulnerable to hotter heat waves and more powerful storms. Hurricanes like Florence and Michael were on the severe end of what was predicted just a few years ago. We must do everything we can to fight this threat, and we must do it immediately. Therefore, I urge you - as my Senator - to cosponsor the International Climate Accountability Act today so we can combat this threat and protect people around the country for decades to come.
