Take Action

Pres. Trump: Sign the Natural Resources Management Act into law

Every day since America’s best conservation program was allowed to expire, we're losing out on $2.5 million that could have been used to protect our public lands. But now we have the chance to amend this egregious error and permanently protect the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

We have been working hard in Washington D.C. to drum up support for the Natural Resources Management Act—a bill that would permanently reauthorize the LWCF. With the help of our activists and supporters, we were able to encourage the Senate to approve of the bill in early February. And after we sent thousands of messages to the House of Representatives, they voted to pass this essential legislation.

We need your help to be sure President Trump signs this bill into law. Urge him to sign the Natural Resources Management Act now so we can protect the future of America’s public lands.

RE: Sign the Natural Resources Management Act into law

To

I am writing to express my strong support of the Natural Resources Management Act (S. 47).

Our country's public lands are the heart and soul of many American communities. Every day since the Land and Water Conservation Fund was allowed to expire, the Fund has lost $2.5 million that could have been used to protect public lands across the nation. In its 53-year history, the LWCF has supported over 45,000 state and local park projects, including iconic landscapes such as the Appalachian Trail, the Everglades National Park, and Zion National Park. Allowing it to expire is absolutely unacceptable, leaving the future of our public lands at risk. I urge you to protect this critical resource by signing the Natural Resources Management Act into law today.

Sincerely,
